  1. Keep to the right of trail and pass on the left
  2. Alcoholic beverages prohibited.
  3. Pedestrians have right-of-way.
  4. All users remain on designated trails.
  5. Do not block the trail
  6. Bicycle speed limit: 15 mph
  7. Maximum of two bicycle riders abreast at any time. If pedestrians are present, only single file riding allowed.
  8. Pets must be on a leash.
  9. Do not disturb plants or animals.
  10. Pack-it-in / pack-it-out.
  11. No structures, including vendor equipment, or organized events without required permits.
  12. No motorized vehicles allowed on trail.
  13. Camping is prohibited.
  14. Marking or painting on trail is prohibited.

Special Activities Permit

Any group wanting to have a special activity using any part of the Centennial Trail must fill out a “Special Activities Permit.” Activities requiring a permit are any organized group event, such as marathons, triathlons/biathlons, bicycle rallies, walkathons, foot races/runs and etc.

Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation requires a special permit to use the trail along the Coeur d'Alene Lake Parkway. This permit is available from:
