North Idaho Centennial TraiConsidering Sponsorship?

 
This program was developed by the North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation, (NICTF), in an effort to off-set maintenance costs along the 24 mile trail way.

Companies can support NICTF Sponsor a Mile campaign by agreeing to sponsor one-mile sections of the trail.
 
The Sponsor a Mile program rewards sponsors by providing them the satisfaction of making a valuable contribution to their community and to all of Idaho’s citizens and visitors. In addition, all visitors along the trail system will see your logo and sponsor sign at your mile marker.
 

A single corporation, business or group may sponsor any available mile for a one year period. After that period you may renew your sponsorship for the following year.


  • In addition to the signage along the trail as a sponsor you will receive a wall Sponsor-a-Mile Membership Plaque
  • Quarterly Newsletter
  • 1st year - Special acknowledgement Trail Monument at both ends of your adopted mile

  • Each consecutive renewed year will receive an additional trail acknowledgement

  • Press release

  • Special Sponsor-a-Mile listing in the Quarterly Newsletter

  • Special Sponsor-a-Mile listing on the NICT web site

  • Business link on the NICT web site

Who can participate?

Corporations, businesses, groups, churches and individuals.
 

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the mile.The miles are available at $500.00 level and the $1000.00 level.
 

How are miles assigned?

Sponsors tend to look at the map and pick a mile that is close to their business,

Their favorite spot, a grand view location.The mile(s) are on a first come first serve basis.Please ask for first and second choice.If not available, the membership director will contact you.
 

What is the duration of the program?

The corporation, group or business agrees to a one-year term.After that one –year term you are eligible to renew your sponsorship and additional acknowledgement will be made available on the signs, websites and newsletter.
 

What is the money used for?

The sponsorship money is used for trail repairs and maintenance.The maintenance consists of paving, signs, map boxes. The repairs happen due to weather, use and vandalism.
 

Besides maintenance & repairs what else is the money used for?

Amenities like benches, water fountains, spurs, historical signs and maps.
 

What about Art work?

At this time the expense of maintaining a class 1 & 2 trail is costly.Artwork must be procured by grant dollars or gifts.
